About the Position

Job Title: Pediatric Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Pediatric Physical Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience preferred 3 years License: PT License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - BS in Physical Therapy - Current Driver's License and Clean Driving Record - Last 4 digits of Social Security Number Description: Provide evaluations and treatments for pediatric patients in both school-based and outpatient settings. Conduct developmental assessments, orthopedic assessments, and gait evaluations. Evaluate orthotic and equipment needs. Maintain accurate and timely record keeping and documentation. Provide training for patients, parents, caregivers, and support staff. Develop and implement IEPs, 504 plans, and conduct 3-year evaluations. Set both long-term and short-term goals for patients. Familiarity with assessment tools such as Peabody, Bruininks-Oseretsky, GMFM, and School Function Assessment is required. Travel within the local area between schools and outpatient settings. Utilize Epic/One Chart electronic medical records and various pediatric therapy equipment and supplies. Must work independently in both school and outpatient environments. Work collaboratively with school-based case managers and support staff as needed. Work schedule is Monday through Friday with no on-call or weekend requirements. Average therapist to patient/student ratio is 1:19. Engage in coverage for pediatric patients from birth to 21 years, including inpatient and outpatient care. Participate in co-treatment sessions as needed with other disciplines. Receive mentorship for electronic medical record training and school-based orientation. Collaborate with vendors for orthotic and DME solutions.
