Business Analyst/Tester

UAT Tester McLean, VA June 4, 2026 We are seeking a UAT Tester to support data-driven initiatives within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills, hands-on SQL experience, and an interest in working with financial data and business processes. The ideal candidate will help analyze datasets, generate insights, support reporting initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational and business performance. Qualifications Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, or related field 1–2 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role Strong SQL skills with experience writing queries, analyzing datasets, and generating reports Understanding of financial services, banking, mortgage, or related financial business domains Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into data-driven insights Proficiency with Excel and data visualization/reporting tools is preferred Preferred Skills Experience with Python for data analysis or automation Exposure to AWS cloud services or cloud-based data environments Understanding of Agile or Scrum environments Familiarity with ETL processes, dashboards, or BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI Responsibilities Analyze business and financial datasets to uncover trends, identify issues, and highlight opportunities for improvement. Develop and optimize SQL queries to support reporting, data extraction, and validation activities. Partner with stakeholders to gather business requirements, provide analytical insights, and support informed decision-making. Design and generate reports, dashboards, and data summaries for business users and executive leadership. Perform data quality assessments and investigate data inconsistencies to ensure accuracy and reliability.
