Research Data Analyst 2

Position Summary The Culture and Race Ethnicity (CARE) in Youth Mental Health Lab is hiring a full-time research analyst to play a critical part in supporting a high-impact community engaged research, including clinical trials, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The analyst will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of research data, from the initial design of data collection protocols, to designing and maintaining data management systems, to conducting multivariate statistical analysis, and preparing federal funding reporting deliverables. These roles will be essential in contributing to manuscript and grant proposal preparation. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver, effective at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and protocol adherence. Salary & Compensation UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications Work experience 1–2 years of experience in research analysis, data management, and required reporting, within a clinical or academic setting involving federally funded projects. (Required) Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R and SPSS). (Required) Strong ability to interpret data and apply statistical methods to solve research problems. (Required) Meticulous approach to data entry, system maintenance, and protocol documentation. (Required) Experience working effectively within a team of principal investigators, students, and administrative staff. (Required) Ability to work well independently, and creatively problem solve and troubleshoot problems as they arise. (Required) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor's Degree In related area and / or equivalent experience / training. (Required) Master's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field. (Preferred) Special Conditions for Employment Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation. Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment. CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA.
