Controller – Construction / Mechanical Services (Shelby Township Area) Adecco is happy to present the following opportunity. We are working with a well-established, privately held mechanical contractor in the Shelby Township area that is looking to add a hands-on Controller to the team. This role will work closely with leadership and play a key part in both day-to-day accounting and overall financial visibility across the business. The environment is very much a mid-sized, project-based operation, so this person will need to be comfortable operating both in the details and at a higher level. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, and payroll coordination Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process Prepare financial statements and internal reporting Support project accounting activities including WIP and job costing Partner with operations on project performance and profitability Assist with cash flow management, billing cycles, and collections Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Support budgeting, forecasting, and general financial planning Identify and improve processes where needed Qualifications 7+ years of accounting or finance experience, ideally in a construction or project-based environment Exposure to WIP, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting Strong understanding of financial reporting and close processes Comfortable in a hands-on, mid-sized company setting CPA is a plus but not required Experience with ERP systems is helpful #J-18808-Ljbffr Adecco
