Press Assistant – Temp-to-Hire

Target Hire:  Immediate
Target Pay Rate: $15 / hour 
Eligibility:  U.S. citizens or residents / EAD only

Location:  Newton, IA

Schedule

• 2-2-3 rotating schedule 
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM 
• 12-hour shifts 

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is a little different, but responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with the operation of large production printing equipment.
• Preparing materials and products for production and shipment.
• Supporting press operators to help keep production running efficiently.
• Monitoring product quality and ensuring finished materials meet company standards.
• Stacking, packaging, and organizing finished products.
• Keeping work areas clean, organized, and operating safely.
• Working as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Able to remain active throughout a 12-hour shift, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and repetitive movement. 
• Looking for a long-term opportunity with room to grow. The role involves frequent movement and material handling throughout the shift. 

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on production role. Candidates should be able to:

• Stand and walk for the majority of a 12-hour shift.
• Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 45 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
• Push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and twist throughout the workday.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while handling products and materials.
• Work safely around large production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Maintain attention to detail while meeting quality and production standards.
• Previous shipping & receiving experience is a plus, and experience operating specialized material handling equipment is highly valued.

Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus, but  not required . We're happy to train motivated individuals who are ready to work.
