HiBid provides business management software and demand generation services for auctioneers and sellers of secondhand goods. We are the second-largest online auction platform behind eBay and a leading auction software provider, facilitating over $2B in annual transactions between thousands of sellers and millions of bidders. We're an AI-first company, constantly applying AI to optimize internal operations and improve our product experience. We are in growth mode, well-capitalized, and backed by two tech-focused private equity firms. Why do we exist: Powering win-win-win outcomes – for sellers, bidders, and our marketplace. How do we behave: Rock Solid: Reliable & trustworthy Raise the Bar: Forward-thinking & open-minded Human: Empathetic & Relatable About the Role HiBid is one of the largest live online auction marketplaces. We're doing two big things at once: modernizing our platform into an event-driven, CQRS-based architecture with a single source of truth, and building AI into both our product and the way we write software. Most of our engineers already work with Claude Code or Cursor every day. This role contributes to both. What you'll work on Platform and architecture Help move our services into the new event-driven, CQRS architecture: modernizing older services, consolidating data into one source of truth, and retiring the legacy sync paths they depend on. You'll work closely with the engineers and DevOps designing this. Foundations: build and deploy pipelines, monitoring, and the data plumbing other teams build on. AI AI tools for the whole company. For example, the internal server that lets teams ask questions of live business data, with the right access controls, PII masking, and audit logging. Making HiBid readable to AI assistants and shopping agents: structured data and clean APIs, so agents can find, understand, and recommend our listings. AI in how we build software: agent code review on every commit, automated tests, and AI-assisted security scanning. Our stack spans C#/.NET, Node/TypeScript, Angular, React, SQL Server, and Postgres, across Azure and AWS. You won't know most of it on day one, and that's fine. Who you are 1 to 3 years of professional software experience. A CS degree is welcome but not required. You use coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar) every day and have opinions about using them well. You plan before you prompt, keep changes small enough to review, and check what the agent actually did. You've built something real with agents, at work or on your own, and can walk us through it, including what went wrong. You push through blockers on your own, ask for help early when you're truly stuck, and push back when a direction seems wrong. You communicate directly: short answers, clear reasoning, and you're comfortable saying "I don't know." You're curious about how systems work under the hood, how data moves between services, and why an architecture is shaped the way it is. #J-18808-Ljbffr HiBid Auctions
