Junior Account Executive

Job Summary
The Junior Account Executive supports the management and administration of an assigned portfolio of clients while developing knowledge of Oxford Commercial Finance (OCF) standards, credit practices, and client service expectations. Under the guidance of experienced team members, this position assists with monitoring client relationships, analyzing financial information, and supporting asset-based lending (ABL) and factoring transactions to maintain an acceptable level of credit risk and service quality.

Primary Responsibilities
• Support the management of an assigned portfolio by maintaining current knowledge of clients’ financial condition, management capabilities, and industry trends, and escalate potential concerns in a timely manner.
• Assist with reviewing advances and loans for compliance with loan policy and approved structure.
• Maintain accurate client files and follow up to ensure approved and required legal documentation is received.
• Assist with resolving ABL and factoring service matters while providing responsive support to clients and internal partners.
• Identify and share opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and provide more efficient service.
• Assist with financial analysis and underwriting requests related to new or existing transactions for management review.
• Assist in compiling department metrics and producing departmental reports.
• Assist other Account Executives in preparing Credit Approval Memos and related activities.
• Develop an understanding of OCF credit policies, procedures, and minimum underwriting standards.
• Work closely with Account Executives, Underwriters, and Operations team members during the transition of prospects to new clients, including closing, initial funding, and onboarding activities.
• Participate in occasional client meetings and business development activities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong interest in accounting, finance, credit analysis, or commercial lending.
• Ability and willingness to learn secured lending concepts, including collateral analysis and cash flow.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to review financial statements and learn financial spreading and credit analysis techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and learn to interpret legal and loan documentation.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required.
• Related internship experience in banking, commercial lending, credit, underwriting, accounting, or finance is preferred.
