Senior Manufacturing Engineer – AircraftWe have an exciting Senior Manufacturing Engineer opportunity available at a prestigious Aircraft Manufacturer located in beautiful Sandpoint.This role plays a critical part in supporting final aircraft assembly, driving process optimization, strengthening root cause analysis, and ensuring on-time aircraft delivery.Relocation Assistance is ProvidedSandpoint, Idaho Location:Scenic lakeside mountain town.Four-season outdoor recreation (boating, hiking, skiing, fishing).Walkable downtown with restaurants and local shops.Short commutes and strong community feel.Key Responsibilities:Develop and improve manufacturing methods including mBOMs, routings, tooling, layouts, and work instructions.Support aircraft structures, avionics installation, machining, and final assembly operations.Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure configuration control and incorporate design changes into manufacturing plans.Support make/buy decisions and cost analysis.Participate in MRB activities and risk mitigation.Train production teams on processes and best practices.Partner cross-functionally with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.7-10 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience (aerospace, marine, or related preferred).Final assembly line experience strongly desired.Experience with riveting and complex aircraft assembly processes.CAD proficiency (Siemens NX preferred).Experience with PLM (TeamCenter) and ERP systems (Epicor E10 or SAP).Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
