Registered NurseThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients and families; and supervising assigned team members.Pay Range: $50- $55 per hour, based on experienceRegistered Nurse Required Skills and Experience:Graduate of an accredited nursing programCurrent nursing license, in good standing with the state licensing board (MD)Minimum of 1 year OR experienceFederal, State, and GHR- required credentials current and on fileCognitive skills as related to the positionProficient in Microsoft, Google, and EMRFollows facility and OSHA safety rules and proceduresRespects culture and religious practices of patientsPunctual and dependentThe ability to uphold HIPAA compliance is mandatory.Must exercise good judgment and discretionTechnologically savvy; Proficient in Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook and TeamsRegistered Nurse Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Clinic Nurse:Perform "AT Risk Foot Care" assessments; identify vascular and neuro changes that need referrals to a higher level of carePerform physical assessment, provide education on conservative vs. invasive intervention as they align with patient goals and develop a plan of action with the physicianPerform head to toe assessment during pre-op appointment, ensure post op medications are orderedDocumentation of Impression, plans and follow up, per physician dictationProvide telephone triage and manage physician communicationsIdentify patients for vascular testing to be performed at Thomas Podiatry (an additional revenue source)Surgical Nurse:Patient assessment prior to surgeryMonitor patients during the pre-op, operative, and post-op phasesProvide post op education to patientsSet up surgical suite and sterile fieldAssist the surgeon in a sterile fashion throughout the procedureEnsure all equipment is working properly, nitrogen and oxygen tanks are adequately filled, check that crash cart and medications are up to date.Facilitate prompt patient turn overPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
