OR Nurse (RN) - Scarborough, Maine

Deliver advanced perioperative care as a Registered Nurse in a dynamic Operating Room setting. This role focuses on providing comprehensive surgical assistance across a range of ENT, dental, plastics, pediatric, and trauma procedures. Enjoy the flexibility of working 4x10 or 4x12 shifts, with occasional weekends or call, allowing you to balance your professional and personal commitments.


Schedule:

• 4x10 or 4x12 shifts available
• Shift options: 7:00am-7:30pm (36 hours/week) or 7:00am-5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Occasional weekends or call required
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, especially with ENT, dental, plastics, pediatric, and trauma (Level 1) cases
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS certification preferred, but not mandatory
• AORN certification highly valued
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Scrub and circulate for a variety of complex operative cases, including laryngoscopy, cochlear implants, oral and facial trauma, head and neck cancer surgeries
• Care for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and safety protocols
• Document patient information accurately in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
