City Music Social Media Assistant

Position Overview The City Music Boston Social Media Assistant will provide social media content planning and execution support to the EOSE Director of Marketing and Communications. This is a 10–15 hour per week position that may require occasional weekday nights based on the event calendar. Eligibility Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee Enrolled at least half‑time in a degree, diploma, or certificate‑seeking undergraduate or graduate program Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled; in this case, the student must be pre‑registered for the upcoming fall semester (this exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters) Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN) Remain in valid Visa status as applicable A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (students in their first semester may work even if an official GPA is not yet available) Federal Work Study students may apply In good disciplinary standing Must be located in the U.S. For complete program details, please visit Responsibilities Maintain and contribute to the social media content calendar on a weekly basis Assist with ideation for social media content planning Capture and live‑post organic social media content at Berklee City Music events Design and edit social media posts to adhere to Berklee City Music brand guidelines Support basic video and audio content capture, editing, and production needs as needed Provide copy for long‑form Facebook posts and event write‑ups Ensure social media content directly streams to the Berklee City Music website Assist with promoting major programming events Qualifications & Experience Prior experience working with social media platforms in a professional capacity (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) Experience with video and audio production (CapCut, iMovie, Premiere) – preferred Familiarity with podcasting and streaming set‑ups – a plus Experience with online design platforms such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign – preferred but not required Excellent attention to detail, strong written communication, and copywriting skills Strong problem‑solving, verbal communication, and organizational skills High motivation to learn and strong eye for social media content design and clean aesthetics Hourly Rate: $17.51 Hiring Manager: Justin Johnson #J-18808-Ljbffr Berklee College of Music
