Fleet Manager/Equipment Supervisor

Valley Tree Care is looking for a seasoned Automotive and Equipment Mechanic to join our team!

Compensation: $20 - $30 / hour depending on qualifications and experience

Requirements:

• Growth oriented, proactive, problem solving, and professional
• Driven and self-motivated, as you will be working alone majority of the time
• Industry experience in fleet maintenance or equipment maintenance is essential
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and regulatory requirements
• Prior mechanic experience
• Prior heavy truck/trailer repair and maintenance (plus, not required)
• Strong dedication to safety
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license AND clean driving record (REQUIRED)

Job Description:

• Work closely with management to ensure vehicle and equipment maintenance goals are met
• Perform maintenance on all company vehicles and equipment including but not limited to: trucks, trailers, wood chippers, stump grinders, chainsaws.
• Coordinate with vendors for vehicle maintenance services and repairs
• Drive company vehicles to and from the yard safely

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday **with the understanding that working some weekends may be required

Experience:

• 3 years of mechanic experience preferred

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Clean Driving Record (Required)
