Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Radiology RN PositionDay to day, you would be responsible for providing care to patients. Our nursing staff demonstrates their knowledge, critical thinking, and judgment. Services provided by the RN include; supervising care delivered, coordinating plans of care, and providing education for patients/families.This RN role will be responsible for patient assessment, sedation, monitoring, and recovery care for patients receiving procedures in the IR/CT departments. This RN will work closely with Rad Techs and the Radiologists to ensure quality care for the patients coming thru the Radiology Department. Primary duties will include but not limited to:Patient work-up for proceduresAdmission and recovery of patients thru the Radiology holding roomMedication administrationPatient monitoringCirculating in procedure roomPatient follow-upsManagement of procedure suppliesAdditional duties as neededRequired: Certifications/Licenses/ExperienceActive Registered Nurse (RN) in Indiana or a compact licensed stateACLS preferred but can be obtained after hireBasic Dysrhythmia Preferred but can be obtained after hireIV skills preferred but not requiredThis position does require working some weekends and a holiday rotation (typically 1 holiday a year).
