RN UNIT COORDINATOR/SHIFT SUPERVISOR - Level 1 Emergency Department * Evening Shift

Position Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator for the Emergency Department (ED) – Level 1 Trauma Center. Shift: Full Time – Evening shift. Unit Overview The ED is a 53‑bed unit within a 525‑bed medical center that serves as the region’s primary teaching facility and the only Level 1 Trauma Center in a 126‑mile region. Responsibilities Assess and admit patients. Perform bedside rounding and conduct patient checks. Administer medications. Communicate with family members. Ensure overall quality of patient care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide optimal patient outcomes. Requirements Bachelor of Nursing. Registered Nurse license. Minimum of 18 months experience as a nurse. BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
