Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Labor and delivery experience, patient population includes females of childbearing years and pregnant individuals Description: Must live 50 miles away from the work location. Schedule: 3 shifts per week. On-call requirement: One shift per week. LRDP experience with labor and postpartum experience preferred. Patient population includes females of childbearing years, pregnant individuals at 17 weeks gestation, laboring patients, and those requiring scheduled procedures such as C-sections and external cephalic versions. The unit handles triage issues as well. Activities on the unit include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (both vaginal and C-sections). Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes fetal monitors and relevant documentation systems.
