Your adventure awaits! Marine Electrical Products, a division of Patrick Industries, is hiring a Plant Controller to join their team! The controller will be responsible for the oversight, leadership and coordination of accounting, financial reporting, financial management, purchasing and budgeting efforts as it relates to the facilities growing operation.Responsibilities and Duties:Guides business unit financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies, procedures & internal controlsMonthly financial reporting - 3 day monthly close (reviewing and preparing journal entries)Management reporting - prepare and report results to Sea-Dog Management and corporatePrepares quarterly budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data and recommending plans to business unit leadersAchieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actionsCalculate variances from the budget and report issues to management and corporateLead and coordinate inventory management and physical inventory control & proceduresMargin by customer/product analysis inclusive of pricing strategyMake credit decisions and assist in collections as neededAssist in managing account payable (reviewing and approving invoices/payments)Maintain a system of record to adhere to all accounting best practices, policies and proceduresPrepares supplemental and ad-hoc reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trendsCalculate and issue financial and operational metricsLead and coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual auditComply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsCapital expenditure tracking and managementSupport and administer HR items including payroll and benefitsCollaborate with all other business and operational disciplines such as HR, purchasing, and salesAssist in managing sales/use tax returns/complianceQualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeCandidates should have 5+ years' of accounting/finance experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional with the ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior managementSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with little to no oversightStrong accountability and follow-through skillsStrong analytical/critical thinkingLocation: Lebanon, Missouri, US, 65536 Work Arrangement: on-site Business Unit: Marine Electrical Products
