Front Desk/Host

Dave & Buster's offers a dynamic hospitality role in a fun, fast‑paced environment, serving guests in a retail, game, and dining setting. Position Snapshot Front Desk/Host – ensuring guests’ first impressions are positive and welcoming. Responsibilities Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through food, drinks and games. Act as ambassador: greet guests with a positive attitude and enthusiasm while coordinating game rentals, merchandise sales, and telephones. Keep the supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or issues and suggest corrective actions. Bid farewell to guests, ensuring their satisfaction and inviting them to return. Prepare for the shift by stocking supplies such as menus, silverware, power cards and gift cards. Review the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and host station. Ensure all menus are stocked, cleaned and maintained. Restock necessary supplies as needed. Bring all areas up to standard and address problem areas with the Manager. Conduct merchandise inventory during and after the shift (if applicable). Maintain a favorable working relationship with other team members. Notify the Manager of unhappy guests. Assist other team members as needed. Drive table‑turn timing by scouting open tables, bussing and cleaning tables. Rotate seating to ensure fairness and balance. Manage flow from the front doors, efficiently helping guests and directing them as required. Manage wait times and communicate information to guests, team members and managers. Deliver silverware as guests are seated. Make timely and accurate bill calculations. Process transactions and reconcile any monies from payment methods. Complete “to‑go” order transactions with accuracy. Sell merchandise from the front desk (if applicable). Requirements Strong communicator who can generate enthusiasm for Dave & Buster's. Ability to work days, nights, and weekends as required. Comfortable in a noisy, fast‑paced environment. Read and write handwritten notes. Lift and carry up to 30pounds. Stand and walk 100% of shift, with frequent bending and stooping. At least 16 years of age and able to speak and read English. Dress in accordance with guidelines: neat, clean and professional. Demonstrate the ability to calm dissatisfied guests and involve the manager when necessary. Retail, restaurant or cashier experience preferred, but not required. Physical Demands Regular standing, walking and moving about the facility. Lifting up to 30pounds. Reaching, bending and stooping frequently. Compensation Hourly pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.50; salary range $15.00–$20.50.
