This role will see you collaborate with a large number of teams across WW Advertising to drive key initiatives to improve resilience of advertising systems.You'll become part of a highly motivated team of talented multi-functional builders (front and backend developers) who can collaborate with product managers, technical specialists, and principals across the company. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that’s higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving problems that, haven’t been solved at scale before - anywhere. You will encounter challenging, novel situations every day and given the size of this initiative, you’ll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. Written and verbal communication in this role are critical: you will author narratives that will be consumed by Amazonians at all levels.Key Technical Challenges:This role will provide critical support to 2 Advertising wide cross-cutting charters - Builder Productivty and Service Availability.Builder Productivity: The team owns global Advertising wide charter to improve organization wide development velocity. This role will enable Builders across the organization deliver products and features to our customers faster while ensuring highest quality, by building AI powered tools and mechanisms at the enterprise scale, while also functioning as a champion with deep understanding of emerging GenAI innovations and depth or software product delivery lifecycle workflows. Service availability: This role will provide critical support to the Global Ads Availability team that owns Ads wide Availability framework, and critical service infrastructure that forms the backbone of Ad serving, enabled across multiple regions and Availability Zones. It is critical to ensure that this framework remains highly available. High Availability architecture will help us make sure that the system is configured to handle different loads and different failures with minimal or no downtime.Key job responsibilities- Engage with key stakeholders such as Product, Program Managers, Senior Managers to understand customer, business requirements and brainstorm on solutions. Drive tech strategy and decision making.- Apply your technical expertise to solve complex software problems in a fast-paced environment- Strategize, design and launch services for medium-to-large scale projects across all areas of this Spektr Data lake core components. All with the goal of delivering a seamless experience to the customer.- Provide guidance to and mentor other SDEs in the team. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
