Registered Nurse - Endoscopy/GI

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN for a travel assignment in an acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care within the Endoscopy/GI department, ensuring patient safety and optimal procedural outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preoperative assessments and patient preparations for endoscopy procedures.
• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, ensuring procedural efficiency and safety.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
• Manage patient discharge and post-procedure care, providing instructions and education.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic charting system.
• Maintain sterile technique and adherence to infection control protocols throughout procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina or Compact RN license prior to start date.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent Endoscopy/GI RN experience.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in endoscopic procedures and patient management.
• Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to call-back requirements and on-call duties.
• Capable of working within a fast-paced environment and collaborating effectively with staff.
