TV Installation Technician -- $100 Per TV + AV Install Work (1099)

About Us

Metroplex Smart Homes is an AV and smart home integration company serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. We keep a reasonably steady flow of installation work year-round and are looking for reliable 1099 techs to join our dispatch rotation.

**All techs must pass a drug test and criminal background check — no exceptions**

The Work

Your primary focus will be TV installs — 20–30+ per month available. Appointments range from 1 to 5 TVs each, paid at $100 per TV. TVs and mounts for the installs are on-site prior to your arrival. You should have a helper you can call to join you on larger TVs that take two to lift — when an extra helper is needed we pay an extra $50 per job. Your helper isn't required to be drug tested; they just need to be reliable and presentable.

Secondary work is assisting on larger installs, ranging from a few hours to a full day — paid at $30/hr, and one-way travel time is included! Work includes:

Sonos and whole-home audio
Indoor/outdoor speakers
Running and terminating CAT6
Wireless access points (WAPs)
Home theaters and projectors

Requirements

Reliable transportation
Able to lift 50+ lbs
Own basic tools (drill, stud finder, level)
Professional appearance and punctual — you're in customers' homes
Comfortable mounting TVs on wood and metal studs
Must be comfortable with any/all wall types, including tile, concrete, and brick, etc
Familiar with installing Samsung Frame TVs (occasionally)
