Location: 138 Prosper, Prosper, TX 75078 Position Type: Full Time Job Summary: The individual provides outstanding shopping experiences to guests and stocks merchandise. Responsibilities Know and actively demonstrate the company mission statement and core values daily. Maintain uniform standard as outlined in the Employee Manual for all worked hours. Demonstrate superior product knowledge. Greet guests with a smile and a helpful demeanor; prioritize the guest. Recommend merchandise based on guests’ needs or desires, focusing on the company’s in‑house brands. Answer guests’ questions regarding price and use of merchandise. Build relationships with regular guests. Carry product to register counters and assist guests. Operate the cash register as business dictates. Process receiving of merchandise as business dictates. Prepare promotional events as necessary. Set up displays or arrange merchandise on counters, tables, or floor stacks to promote sales. Front merchandise and rotate stock for freshness; restock shelves with product. Maintain a neat and orderly sales floor and back stock. Clean shelves, bottles, aisles, and tables; ensure proper product placement to avoid trips and falls. Maintain fresh and readable price tags on all products. Provide feedback to management regarding fast or slow‑moving product, stock levels, out‑of‑stock items, and department needs. Assist with inventory preparation and the inventory process as needed. Properly use and maintain computers and RF scanner equipment. Continuously seek to improve related skills and knowledge to contribute to profitability and productivity. Avoid conversations with coworkers when guests are present. Limit use of personal cell phone to work‑related activities only while on the sales floor. Carry out management directives efficiently. Fulfill responsibilities with care and attention to detail. Practice teamwork and cooperation with others. Possess time‑management skills and be able to prioritize tasks. Manage stress in a fast‑paced environment. Work in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA. Lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally using proper lifting techniques and tools; push/pull 50‑100 lbs regularly. Remain on the sales floor and perform other tasks assigned by management. Clean bathrooms as required. Maintain attendance and timeliness; this is not a remote sales job. Qualifications Must be over the age of 21. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education. Retail sales or customer service experience preferred. Strong product (especially beer) knowledge of craft and national brands. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, discounts, percentages). Bilingual skills are a plus. Self‑starter with a strong work ethic and high reliability. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage stress. Valid TABC Beverage Seller’s Permit; Food Handler’s Permit may be required. Hours Full‑time: typically 35 hours per week. Must be available to work any shift on Fridays or Saturdays and must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week. Part‑time: up to 25 hours per week. Scheduling is based on business needs; making up hours without District Manager approval is prohibited. Physical Demands Regularly stand, walk, and bend; use arms, hands, and fingers to feel, handle, reach, and lift. Must lift or move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally using proper lifting technique and tools; push/pull 50‑100 lbs regularly. Ability to climb, balance, and perform other physical tasks as required. Adequate vision for close, distance, and depth perception. Work Environment Positive, fun environment with moderate noise levels. Employees may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions when delivering service.
