Elite Sports Academy 10215 N 43rd Ave Phoenix, AZ 85051, USA Position Summary Under the general direction of the Athletic Director and Executive Director, responsible for planning and administering sports programs, coaching an athletic team, and related duties. Responsibilities Provide coordination and supervision of the sports program and team. Help students achieve gains in athletic skill and team performance. Design and implement training and game programs. Organize and supervise coaching staff to ensure proper implementation. Develop team rules and enforce them equitably. Ensure student athletes meet eligibility and behavior rules. Ensure proper health and safety precautions during all activities. Report injuries to Athletic Director and Principal. Assist in purchasing, inventory, and care of equipment. Ensure district policies are observed during all activities. Stay updated on new information, techniques, and best practices. Obtain approval from Athletic Director/Principal for all activities and expenditures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: 1‑2 years as a working athletic coach in an academic setting preferred. Special Skills: NFHS and Concussion certified required. Ability to participate in physically demanding activities. Knowledge of effective behavior management methods. Good judgment and ability to work in a dynamic environment. Professional and friendly disposition. Fingerprint clearance: to be checked pursuant to A.R.S 15‑512. Physical Requirements Regularly required to walk, run, jump, stretch, stand, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. May lift up to 100 lbs. May climb stairs, ropes, or ladders. Must be able to demonstrate proper athletic techniques. Work Environment Standard athletic practice venue and event setting with moderate to high noise. May be exposed to hot weather, bodily fluids or bloodborne pathogens. Travel Requires travel to and from school events and activities; must accompany team to sporting events.
