Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN with CA licensure and 2 years of ICU experience for a role in a Level II Trauma Center.

Details

• Work in the ICU/Tele unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating required within scope to any ICU/TELE units based on facility need
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; candidates with strong experience and less tenure may be considered
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred; strong candidates without travel experience may be considered
• Preferred experience with Trauma Level I settings
• Preferred charge nurse experience
• Skills in care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and IV therapy required
• ICP monitoring experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing in a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level II Trauma Center
• Strict dress code: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than earlobe-only earrings, and all tattoos must be covered
• No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not allowed
• Up to 5 days of requested time off permitted, with 1 holiday approved off
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Free parking available on-site
