Salary: $20/HR Grain Laborer Location: Taylorville, IL or Mt. Auburn, IL Pay: $20.00 per hour Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM | Overtime Available Express Employment Professionals is hiring Grain Laborers for agricultural facilities in Taylorville and Mt. Auburn, IL. If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a hardworking team, this is an excellent opportunity to earn steady hours with plenty of overtime. - Open and close truck and railcar doors for grain loading and unloading
- Monitor incoming and outgoing grain, corn, and soybean shipments
- Cover grain piles with tarps to protect stored product
- Dump grain as directed during receiving and shipping operations
- Shovel grain and sweep work areas to maintain a clean, safe facility
- Perform general facility cleanup and housekeeping
- Work from elevated platforms while using required fall protection and safety harnesses
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights while wearing a safety harness
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Previous grain handling, agriculture, warehouse, or general labor experience is helpful but not required
