Cardiac Surgeon Opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated cardiac surgeon to join a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

Location: Pensacola, FL

Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart

Schedule: Full-Time; 230 working days/year

Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available

Productivity incentives: (RVU) CME allowance + dedicated CME days Malpractice coverage with tail

This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

What You Will Do

Join an established team of 2 physicians and 3 APPs

Call structure: 10 days/mo.

Practice setting: mix of surgery, inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic

Access to: Robotics | Dedicated block time

Employed position within a nonprofit health system

Board Certified or Board Eligible in cardiovascular surgery

Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

Champion the care team experience for loved ones

Facilitate practice growth and quality outcomes

Collaborate with colleagues to foster a highly efficient practice model

About the Facility

Sacred Heart Hospital was founded by the Daughters of Charity in 1915. 566 bed Level I Trauma Center (Part of a robust clinical network with our sister facilities in Destin, Panama City, and Port St. Joe, FL)

Sacred Heart offers the region's only kidney transplant program, as well as physician residency programs to train the next generation of doctors in internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Florida Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Board eligibility/certification in medical specialty required.

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
