Division Information Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. Dynacraft performs assembly, light manufacturing and distribution for PACCAR truck plants and the aftermarket. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft’s manufacturing facilities are located in Louisville, KY and McKinney, TX. Job Summary This position is located at the McKinney, TX facility. The Occupational Health Nurse (RN) will be an independent and organized member of the occupational health team to provide clinical, health assessment, and preventive health services for the Dynacraft McKinney Evening and Third Shift employees and specified contract employees. The Occupational Health Nurse (RN) is expected to work generally – Monday through Friday on evening shift. This role does require periodic shift changes in support of Safety Initiatives and Events. Job Responsibilities Evaluates and administers basic first aid care of minor illness and injuries and provides immediate emergency care, coordinating with supervisors or consulting physician in arranging referral and transportation for additional medical care when necessary Provides substance abuse screening as needed in compliance with Company Policies and Procedures Maintains drug and medical supplies, issues protective equipment and maintains related medical records Provides health education, counseling and support for the delivery of the sites' preventive wellness services Compiles accident statistics, maintains injury/illness logs, collects attendance data, and communicates with attending physicians as part of the disability management process and workers compensation process Timely response to completion of safety items, audit findings, employee concerns, and near misses Conduct benchmarking activities of other PACCAR and non-PACCAR plant employees Other duties as assigned Competencies Act with Integrity Demonstrate Adaptability Drive for Results Influence Others Lead Innovation and Quality Initiatives Manage Execution Qualifications Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation Ability to work with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines Knowledge of OSHA, State, and Federal laws Experience with MS Office Education Current licensure as an unencumbered registered nurse (RN) in Texas, or a valid compact license with Texas multi-state privileges or able to meet Texas reciprocity requirements Three years of clinical experience required with Occupational Medical experience preferred Three years of safety experience preferred Accredited CPR/AED/First Aid Trainer preferred Benefits As a U.S. PACCAR employee, you have a full range of benefit options including: 401k with up to a 5% company match Fully funded pension plan that provides monthly benefits after retirement Comprehensive paid time off – minimum of 10 paid vacation days (additional days are provided with additionalseniority/years of service), 12 paid holidays, and sick time Tuition reimbursement for continued education Medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your family Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) Paid short-and long-term disability programs Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance EAP services including wellness plans, estate planning, financial counseling and more This position is also eligible for a holiday gift Diversity PACCAR has success with diverse teams of employees working together to achieve excellent results.
