Family Engagement Specialist La Vega ISD Family Resource Center – Waco, Texas Responsibilities The goal is to assist in the development and implementation of a family engagement plan, for the purpose of achieving and maintaining high levels of family involvement and positive family attitudes towards education. Title I, Part A – Intent & Purpose Title I, Part A provides supplemental resources to LEAs to help schools with high concentrations of students from low-income families provide high-quality education that enables all children to meet state student performance standards. It supports campuses in implementing either a schoolwide program (SWP) or a targeted assistance program (TAP). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in social work or a closely related field. General knowledge of parent education programs and of social services available from various agencies. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities. Patient and calm demeanor with others. Prior teaching or social service work experience preferred. Bilingual preferred. Job Details Position Type: Full‑Time Salary: $49,405 to $65,253 per year Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
