Founded in 1917, Rolling Rock Club's premier private club is located in historic Ligonier, Pennsylvania approximately 50 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. The Club is nestled between the Chestnut Ridge and Laurel Mountain Valley ranges at the far west end of the Appalachian Mountains. Organized as an English gentlemen's sports club, land conservatory and wildlife sanctuary the surrounding landscape is truly one of the most beautiful and serene parcels in the Eastern region of the United States.

SUMMARY

The Valet at Rolling Rock Club is responsible for delivering a seamless arrival and departure experience for Members and guests through professional, attentive, and efficient service. This role ensures the safe handling of vehicles, maintains an organized and welcoming entrance, and serves as a first point of contact reflective of the Club's standards. The Valet maintains Rolling Rock Club's traditional atmosphere as a "quiet country English Manor."

ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS

• Greet Members and guests promptly upon arrival with a professional, service-first approach.
• Safely park and retrieve Member and guest vehicles in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist with opening doors, unloading personal items, and providing directional assistance as needed. 
• Maintain organization and flow of the valet drive, ensuring a smooth arrival and departure experience.
• Monitor and manage vehicle traffic to ensure safety and efficiency at all times.
• Provide general Club information and communicate effectively with other departments to support Member needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the valet area, including entrances and surrounding spaces.
• Assist with light porter duties, including transporting packages, luggage, or other items as needed.
• Observe and report any safety, security, or maintenance concerns.
• Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of vehicle keys at all times.
• Exercise diligence and care in protecting and safeguarding Member and guest property and belongings at all times.
• Support special events and high-volume periods with organized and efficient service execution.
• Respects the Club's customs and traditions and works to preserve Rolling Rock Club as a "quiet county English Manor."
• Other related assignments as necessary.
• Maintains regular, consistent and reliable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong interpersonal and Member service skills.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Following guidance and direction from management effectively, efficiently, and appropriately.

SKILLS

• Fundamental time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work, both with a team and independently.
• Exhibits good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to problem solve and react quickly to any issues which arise during a shift. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to enter and exit a wide variety of vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and kneel throughout a shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours consistently).
• Good physical condition to respond promptly and effectively during emergencies.
