Job Title: SMH Interventional Radiology Rad Tech

Location: Rochester, NY

Pay: $3,879.20 per week

Shifts: 4x10hrs, Days; weekends, holidays, on-call/callback per unit needs

Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Rad Tech for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This role highly values prior experience in neurosurgery and neuroscience, allowing you to work in a dynamic environment alongside skilled radiologic technologists.

Key Responsibilities of the SMH Interventional Radiology Rad Tech

  • Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning and produces radiologic images of diagnostic quality.
  • Works cooperatively with all department members to resolve problems expediently.
  • Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness and accountability when dealing with customers.
  • Administers oral contrast as needed per exam.
  • Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic exams and assists Radiologist during procedures.
  • Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation of all x-ray equipment, CR and DR systems.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions to manager or lead.
  • Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and assists in department tasks.
  • Maintains medication security to authorized personnel only.
  • Demonstrates use of Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities as warranted.
  • Maintains confidentiality using personal passwords and respects patient care modules.
  • Answers technical inquiries from physicians or hospital personnel with good phone etiquette.

Requirements of the SMH Interventional Radiology Rad Tech

  • BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
  • Two (2) years experience
  • Licensing in the state of NY
  • Neurosurgery/Neuroscience Experience
  • AART certification
  • VIR certification (Nice to have)
