Education and Training Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Education & Training Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting Virginia Housing by providing customer service and technical assistance to internal teams, partners, stakeholders, and consumers. This position serves as the first point of contact for the Education & Training team, managing communications, coordinating events and trainings, and maintaining instructional resources. The coordinator ensures smooth operation of educational programs and administrative tasks to support the organization's mission of promoting quality, affordable housing. Responsibilities:

• Serve as initial contact for incoming calls and email correspondence for the Education & Training team.
• Stay informed about Virginia Housing programs, resources, and operating systems.
• Manage administrative office tasks including event management and planning.
• Create and maintain user guides and instructional materials.
• Coordinate internal and external meetings and training sessions.
• Assist in setting up classes, approving agendas, and providing technical support during virtual meetings.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating learning programs or administrative tasks.
• Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms such as Webex.
• Experience with event planning and coordination.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Experience using CVENT for class setup and agenda approval.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Knowledge of low- and moderate-income housing programs.
• Project management skills and familiarity with software such as Business Map.

Special Considerations:

• This is a 6-month assignment.
• First one to two weeks may require 100% on-site presence for training.
• Role reports to the Innsbrook Office located at 4840 Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060.

Scheduling:

• Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week.
