Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular/Thoracic

Location: Illinois
Employment Type: Contract - Local Candidates Welcome
Pay: $58.00 per hour
Schedule: Days | 5 x 8-hour shifts

Aura Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular/Thoracic Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for an exciting contract opportunity in Illinois. Local candidates are welcome and receive the same competitive pay rate.

Responsibilities

Provide circulating and/or scrub nursing care during cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures.
Prepare the operating room, equipment, and supplies for surgery.
Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all surgical safety protocols.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure exceptional patient care.
Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and accurately document care provided.
Respond quickly and effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Requirements

Active Illinois RN License (license must be in hand)
Recent Cardiovascular/Thoracic Operating Room experience
Must rank 4/4 in all required Cardiovascular/Thoracic OR competency areas
Current BLS certification
ACLS preferred (if required by the facility)
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
