Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Nuclear Medicine TechnologistThe Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs tests for patient diagnosis, progress or deterioration and medical research. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and gives radiopharmaceuticals to patients when indicated and uses high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the patient's body. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in collaboration with physicians to provide the images for interpretation to study and diagnose a medical condition. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist gives doses of radiation to patients internally to treat various medical conditions when prescribed by a physician. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist participates in a variety of technical tasks, tests and determinations involving the utilization of radioactive materials and measurement instrumentation.Minimum Requirements:Level I & IIGraduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program and/or meets all state required educational & licensing/certification standards.Level II Position Requirements:Possesses at least two years of experience in the Nuclear Medicine field • One –two years prior supervisory or Team Lead experience.Current CPR if applicableTB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageBenefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits:Competitive pay & weekly paychecksHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) savings planAwards and recognition programs
