Description What Your Role Entails

• Administer both routine and specialized clinical laboratory testsincluding chemistry, hematology, and immunologyfollowing established protocols.
• Evaluate results for precision, resolve discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Assist with sample collection processes and prepare specimens ready for analytical testing.
• Keep meticulous records of all procedures, mentor new team members or students, and support the maintenance of lab quality benchmarks.
• Ensure a tidy, safe work area and comply with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.

Education Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certification Standards

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within your first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification for the duration of your employment.
