Registered Nurse (RN) - CVOR

RN – Cardiovascular/Thoracic OR

Schedule: 4x10s, 0615–1645 (rotating start times as needed)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required. May consider 1 year only if candidate has Level I trauma experience.
• First-time travelers accepted only with more than 2 years Level I trauma experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Scrub and circulate experience required in cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular cases.
• Experience with EMR: Epic.
• Heart and lung transplant experience required for night shift applicants.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide care in the cardiothoracic and vascular operating rooms, including scrub and circulate duties.
• Participate in a variety of surgical procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, transplant operations, and hybrid cases.
• Ensure readiness for cases, including setting up within a designated timeframe.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize patient care and outcomes during high-acuity procedures.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.

Compliance / Notes:

• Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed.
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Maximum of 7 days RTO without manager approval; no RTO allowed the first week of assignment.
• Orientation parking available for a fee, with additional parking options for night shifts.
