Senior Tax Manager

Senior Manager, Income Tax | Chicago | Hybrid

I’m working on a confidential search for a Senior Manager, Income Tax with a large, complex organization headquartered in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants broader ownership than a traditional tax compliance role. The position will have significant responsibility across tax accounting, income tax compliance, planning, forecasting, audit support, and process improvement , while working closely with senior finance leadership and managing/developing members of the tax team.

Client is looking for someone with a strong corporate income tax foundation who can operate comfortably in a complex, multi-entity environment. The ideal background includes:

• Strong ASC 740 / income tax provision experience
• Federal and multi-state corporate income tax expertise
• Experience overseeing compliance and reviewing complex tax work
• Familiarity with tax planning, forecasting, and cash tax considerations
• Experience supporting federal and state tax examinations
• Exposure to SOX, internal controls, and external audit
• Ability to research and communicate complex tax matters
• Experience leading or developing tax professionals
• Comfort partnering with accounting, finance, treasury, and senior leadership
