Salary: $20-$24 ph, DOE

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Receiving/Quality Inspector for a local manufacturing company. The Receiving/Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet quality standards and comply with ISO 9001 requirements. This role requires hands-on inspection of metals (stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum), collaboration with production teams, and accurate documentation of quality findings to support a culture of excellence and safety. This position may also involve general shop labor duties to support production and workflow as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors and management to promote a strong culture of quality and safety.
• Review receiving documents to maintain unbroken traceability to the respective supplier.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Perform dimensional inspections on parts and raw materials to confirm compliance with specifications.
• Use precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges.
• Conduct mechanical, visual, and dimensional inspections of parts and materials.
• Document and facilitate the disposition of nonconforming materials.
• Verify in-process inspections during production to ensure conformity with engineering requirements.
• Perform general shop labor tasks such as material handling, basic assembly support, and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges).
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Critical thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform general shop labor including safe material handling and equipment use.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience inspecting metals (stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• U.S. citizenship required.
