Position Summary The Drain Service Technician position is responsible for performing a wide range of plumbing activities for industrial and commercial clients. Role Responsibilities Ensure that the MEP services provided by the Services Department meet customer requirements. Perform drain service activities, effective customer communication and diagnoses of all industrial, commercial and residential drain systems. Perform planned maintenance tasks as prescribed. Clean and provide maintenance for all RK Mechanical owned drain service equipment. Technical troubleshooting and diagnostics with minimal supervision when needed. Daily coordination with the Customer Services department. Make a service‑related decision in a timely manner that is in the best interest of the company. Follow up on callbacks and completion of jobs. Assist in pricing with Account Managers or Service Writer when required. Develop lead referrals resulting from service activities for the Sales Department or Service Writer. Qualifications Performs technical responsibilities under indirect supervision. Contributes to the development and improvement of concepts, techniques, and procedures. Coordinates own tasks with a specific range of responsibilities under established procedures. Contributes to a team under general supervision of an experienced professional or manager. Skilled specialist or recent college/university graduate. Role specific skills and experience required. Must have a minimum of 10 years of previous experience. Requires judgment or initiative in resolving issues and making recommendations. Supervision and guidance of crews. Minimum Physical Requirements Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas. Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations. Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch. Work in all types of weather. Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools. Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
