Part time Days, 3 days a week 8-hour shifts starting anywhere from 6:30am - 8:30am, 24 hours per week

Duties:

Job Summary: Performs specimen processing and accessioning in the Referral Lab. Performs various types of specimen collection, phlebotomy (including mobile route) and drug test monitoring. Reviews lab reports and performs quality review and troubleshooting, resolving problems as they occur. Serves as member of laboratory client services team. May prepare specimens for testing, accessioning and packaging for dispatch to outside labs according to written protocols. Job Responsibilities: Performs the full range of duties from specimen procurement through specimen processing by using laboratory equipment and devices. -Acts as a resource for the lab by handling and triaging inquiries to the appropriate personnel, including giving out lab reports and delivering specimens to the appropriate division. -Responsible for the achievements and success of client facility. Required Skills & Experience: -Technical knowledge of lab procedures, functions and processes gained through education, experience, or a combination of the two. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties. -Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job. -Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload. -Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System. Preferred Skills & Experience: -Prefer 2 years of phlebotomy experience. -Completion of UCI phlebotomy program.
