Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a Level III NICU night shift position in Apple Valley, CA, requiring a CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in the NICU specialty.

Details

• Level III NICU in an acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds and approximately 190 births per month
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:00–06:30)
• 13-week travel contract
• No floating between like units within this assignment; however, travelers may be expected to float between all facilities within the state
• No on-call requirements
• Every other weekend required; weekends may exceed every other to accommodate unit needs
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
• Epic EMR experience required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
• All required certifications must be current and on file for consideration

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required for RN staff
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be eligible at a local rate — contact your recruiter for details
• Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
