Full Time Grocery Manager

Job Overview Location: Jerry’s Foods Hudson | Reports to: Assistant Store Director | Classification: Union 1189 CM FT | Rate of Pay: $34.25 / hour | Hours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hours Benefits Health / Vision / Dental Insurance | Paid Time Off | Store Discount | 401K | Flexible Schedule | Employee Assistance Programs Responsibilities Make lasting connections with customers Fill and rotate cases and displays (may involve heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.) while maintaining inventory shrink Assist with receiving product and merchandising to keep shelves full and fresh Prioritize and establish work lists to maintain a steady amount of work for employees Ensure all grocery employees are following store standards Create and manage weekly work schedules for the entire team Train and develop future Grocery Managers Help maintain a clean and sanitary store Qualifications Friendly and outgoing, promoting customer service for the entire team Experience working in a grocery position (2-3 years preferred) Knowledge of stocking, load cutting, and case display Certified in PIT Motivated to grow career and continue learning Physical Requirements Frequent: 15% or more of shift with at least ten repetitions per shift Occasional: less than 15% of shift with fewer than 10 repetitions per shift Frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs., pushing/pulling to 2000 force pounds, equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine), reaching, standing, turning, walking Occasional lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., equipment operation (calculator), squatting, stooping/bending Frequent lifting/carrying up to 60 lbs., pushing/pulling to 30 force pounds, equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine), reaching, standing, turning Position functions and physical requirements may vary between locations.
