- Tailor Treatment Plans: Assess patient needs and craft personalized therapy strategies to help them achieve their goals for functionality
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based interventions to advance motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living tasks for patients
- Engage with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work hand-in-hand with OTs, PTs, STs, doctors, and nurses to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered care
- Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their families on therapy techniques to support healing and progress at home
- Track and Assess Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify treatment plans as necessary to keep patients on the path to success
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
- Ongoing professional development or postgraduate certifications are encouraged and supported
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) licensure
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is essential
- A genuine passion for helping individuals achieve their highest level of autonomy
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients and team members alike
