Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. They assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor vital signs and patient status continuously.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies with appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Adhere to unit policies and maintain compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Proven experience in ICU or critical care settings.
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills.
• Ability to work 7a-7p shifts, every third weekend, and 36 hours/week.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
