Job Description

As a Security Officer Gated Private Island Community in Newport Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying visitors and credentials, and maintaining accurate access records. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with residents and guests, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorization, manage visitor and vendor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, property staff, and emergency responders while reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
