Music and Story Time Instructor

Little Leaps Play Café is looking for a warm, energetic, and dependable instructor to lead engaging music and story-time experiences for children ages 0–5 and their caregivers. This is a part-time, on-site position in Leander, Texas, with approximately 4–6 hours per week. Responsibilities: Plan and lead interactive music, movement, and story-time sessions Create age-appropriate activities using songs, instruments, movement, books, and simple props Adapt activities for babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children Welcome families and help children feel comfortable participating Arrive prepared and set up before each session Clean and organize instruments, books, and class materials afterward Communicate reliably with the Little Leaps team Occasionally assist with themed classes or special events We’re looking for someone who: Has experience working with young children Is enthusiastic, expressive, patient, and comfortable leading groups Can create a structured class Is dependable, punctual, organized, and prepared Is comfortable singing in front of children and adults Can pass a background check Has reliable transportation Experience in early childhood education, music, children’s programming, library story time, theater, or group instruction is preferred but not required. Musical instrument experience is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
