Communications InternTo inspire health, wellbeing, and humanity in our community, through all of life's stages.Tepeyac Community Health Center is seeking a Communications Intern to support our growing Development and Communications team. This role is ideal for a college student or recent graduate interested in nonprofit communications and marketing. The intern will gain hands-on experience across digital platforms while helping expand access to accessible, high-quality care for communities across Metro Denver.This is an unpaid internship with our Development and Communications team.This role can be predominantly remote or in-office, depending on intern preference. There is an expectation for the intern to come into the office at least once per month and to establish regular working hours. Up to 8 hours per week.Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience:Current college student or recent graduate, preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, public health, or a related fieldStrong writing and editing skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projectsInterest in nonprofit work, healthcare, or community-based organizationsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with SquarespaceExperience with Canva or other design toolsSpanish language proficiency, particularly for translation supportEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Support website management, including updating event listings, provider pages, and general contentAssist with blog writing and storytellingDraft and schedule social media content across platformsUpdate internal communications materials, including TV slides and digital displaysProvide support for marketing collateral such as flyers, one-pagers, and event materialsAssist with email marketing, including drafting and formatting newsletters and campaignsOther Duties and Responsibilities:Attend required internal meetings, trainings, and events.Other duties as assigned.Learning Opportunities:Gain practical experience managing a nonprofit website and content systemsBuild a portfolio of writing, social media, and marketing materialsLearn best practices in healthcare communications and community-centered storytellingReceive mentorship and training from Tepeyac's Development and Communications teamFor over 30 years, Tepeyac Community Health Center has been committed to providing integrated physical and behavioral health care to nearly 10,000 individuals across the Denver metro area.
