High School Tutor

Position Summary Organization: LULAC National Education Service Center Location: Various high schools around Albuquerque, New Mexico Off‑Campus Work‑Study position – must have a work‑study award Responsibilities The student will mentor and tutor 9‑12 grade students in science and math in a one‑to‑one or small group setting. The role is Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM and includes: Providing structured learning experiences during after‑school hours Assisting students with homework and coursework in Mathematics (Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Calculus) and Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) Ensuring proper documentation of each tutoring session is completed Qualifications Work‑Study award for 2025–2026 academic year Ability to pass an Albuquerque Public School background check Availability to work one Saturday per month Preferred Qualifications Team‑oriented with strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills Self‑starter, creative, and passionate about learning Bilingual preferred Equal Employment Opportunity Statement The University of New Mexico is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
