Southcoast Health is seeking a Structural Heart Imager/Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our nationally recognized Heart & Vascular Center. This opportunity is ideal for a cardiologist with advanced echocardiography training and a strong interest in structural heart imaging and transcatheter therapies.

The Heart & Vascular Center consists of 26 cardiologists, 24 advanced practice providers, a dedicated structural heart imaging team, and a comprehensive heart team approach with strong mentorship and collaborative support.

The successful candidate will participate in a high-volume, advanced structural heart program while enjoying a balanced practice environment and exceptional quality of life.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a physician with advanced cardiac imaging training, expertise in procedural echocardiography, and experience with mitral valve imaging, tricuspid valve imaging, edge-to-edge repair procedures, and transcatheter valve replacement therapies. Southcoast currently has an established structural heart imaging team, and ongoing mentorship is available for candidates seeking additional procedural experience.

Recognition

• 3-Star STS/ACC TAVR Rating Achieved by fewer than 10% of TAVR programs nationwide
• One of the first programs in New England to receive ACC Transcatheter Heart Valve Certification

Annual Volumes

• Approximately 300 TAVR procedures
• More than 200 LAAO procedures (Watchman, Amulet)
• More than 50 TEER procedures (mitral and tricuspid interventions)

• Transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement

Advanced Electrophysiology Program

Annual Volumes

• More than 700 ablations (SVT, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, convergent AF procedures)
• More than 500 device implants (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, leadless devices, subcutaneous ICDs)

• Growing combined LAAO and AF ablation program

Comprehensive imaging services include full echocardiography services, 3D echocardiography, dedicated structural heart imaging team, nuclear cardiology services, PYP imaging, coronary CTA, cardiac CTA, and cardiac MRI.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess COCATS Level III training in Echocardiography, structural heart procedural TEE experience, MD or DO degree, completion of accredited residency and cardiology fellowship training, board certification or board eligibility in cardiology, active medical license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain), and strong clinical, communication, and patient-centered care skills.
