Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric categories through both observational methods and standardized assessments.
• Craft customized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, swallowing, or cognitive goals.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language abilities, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing function.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure integrated care solutions.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to support ongoing progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Document evaluations and treatment plans meticulously to comply with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous growth by pursuing educational development and collaborative opportunities within the field.

Education

• Obtained a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a guided Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required for ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within a month of hiring.
