Looking for a rewarding contract opportunity as a physical therapist in a dynamic educational environment? A full-time position is available working as an itinerant physical therapist, supporting students across multiple school sites. This assignment will cover a 12-week maternity leave at the start of the academic year, with potential to extend into the summer session. The role is based on-site, serving K-12 students in a collaborative, school-based setting.

What you’ll bring:

• Current, active Florida Department of Health Physical Therapy license
• Experience providing physical therapy in a school setting is highly preferred
• Proficiency in assessment, goal setting, and implementing individualized treatment plans for school-aged children
• Willingness to travel between multiple educational sites as assigned
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services for a student caseload (details to be confirmed)
• Assess students’ motor and functional abilities, develop and implement therapy interventions, and document progress in accordance with IEP goals
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate closely with other education professionals
• Cover multiple schools as part of an itinerant schedule, ensuring consistent and timely services
• Support compliance with all required documentation and timelines

Additional information:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours weekly, following the school calendar
• On-site service only (not a virtual/VOCO position)
• Must be able to complete fingerprinting and time-sensitive credentialing steps before the start date; previously completed fingerprints via the AHCA Clearinghouse may be valid
