The Opportunity:

We need an experience d data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions, from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence.

As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you'll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You'll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Here, you'll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, develop ers, and data consumers in a fast-paced and agile environment. You'll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

You Have:

• Experience designing cloud-native data platforms in Amazon Web Services ( AWS )
• Experience with cloud migration and modernization efforts
• Experience with data pipelines, including data acquisition, data prep, and database architecture
• Experience with data engineering projects supporting data science, AI / ML implementations, and Business Intelligence dashboards
• Experience with non-relational and semi-relational databases
• Experience creating sof tware for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
• Experience with team lead functions, creating solutions within a collaborative and cross-functional team environment
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in all-source analysis, or 7+ years of experience in all-source analysis in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Pyspark and Spark ecosystems such as Databricks and EMR
• Experience evaluating data analytic or science technologies and platforms
• Experience going through an A & A process or leading modifications
• Experience with cloud architecture, and evaluating and selecting cloud analytics architectures
• Experience with data marts and data warehouses, and creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows
• Experience with source code management and integration such as GitHub
• Experience designing, develop ing, deploying, or testing in AWS
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and SQL
• Experience with APIs develop ment
• AWS Architecture Certification s such as Solution Architect Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
